National Mobile Hackathon 2014 for programmers and mobile app developers will be held in Dhaka this November.
The purpose of this Hackathon is to find solutions for problems like Women’s Health, Education, Agricultural, Road Accidents, etc using mobile devices. The event is being organized by the government’s Information and Technology department. Other partners involve Basis, Symphony, Grameenphone, Roby, Teletalk, Soulquest, and Google Developer Group. Organizers are hoping that over a 1000 programmers, freelancers, app developers, and students will take part in this event. The registration procedure for this event has begun and will last till 15th October.
Programmers and App developers will be able to take part in this Hackathon in teams or individually, app designers will also be able to take part in it. Participants of the National Mobile Application Development Awareness & Capacity Building Program will be eligible as well.
Organizers also informed that the participants will have to utilize 36 hours of the contest to build solution prototypes for different problems. Partakers will have to work in different teams during these hours. 30 technology experts will be sharing the job of invigilators and judges during the contest. 10 winners will receive exciting prizes and will also be helped by the government to realize their projects.
